Nancey has been the coordinator and manager of Child Care Partners since September, 2010. She has a long history of working in the field of Early Childhood, starting with 17 years as a family child care provider.

“Retiring” from child care, Nancey joined Child Care Partners’ staff as the Provider Specialist in 1995. After five years with the program Nancey moved to Mid-Columbia Children’s Council, where she held a variety of positions over an 11 year period. But her heart always remained in child care and Child Care Partners, where she continued to teach classes.

As Coordinator, Nancey does community outreach, continues to teach classes.

Kathleen has been a Child Care Partners staff member for eleven years starting with a very successful Hood River infant toddler provider recruitment grant project.

Advocating for children, she has encouraged education/training as a means to promote quality child care for parents, providers and communities.

Currently Kathleen is lead for Oregon Registry, a statewide program, which offers a pathway to professional recognition for all early childhood educators. Please call her at (541) 506-6133 and she will assist you with enrollment and tracking your training/classes for step awards.

Maria Perez, Bilingual Program Assistant

Maria is the Bilingual Program Assistant for Child Care Partners. She recently joined the program in September, 2011. A current student at Columbia Gorge Community College, Maria is eager to finish her Associate of Arts Transfer Degree. She plans to continue her education with the goal of becoming a certified teacher.

Maria is also involved with her town’s City Council and other community involvement. Helping children is a joy for her and feels that they are the key to our future.
