Background
Paula grew up in the Boston area, where her family has lived since the mid 1800s. There are many engineers in her paternal family and many teachers on her maternal side. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand, working on water resource projects and teaching English. Upon returning from Southeast Asia, she attended Oregon State University to study language acquisition and curriculum design. Paula has been a teacher and administrator at rural community colleges in Oregon since 1992. She enjoys merging family traditions of technology and education to work creatively. You can see the results of faculty projects at the CGCC You Tube site and the Moodle homepage.
