Background

Yukari has been an instructor at Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) since 2007. She was born in Tokyo, where she learned to enjoy a variety of subjects (except physics), cultures, sports, art, music, literature and cool trains before coming to the US.

She has taught various subjects from kindergarten to college level in the US and hosted foreign students from all over the world for 15 years. Her passion is to help students discover their talents, polish those talents and send them out into the world that is full of adventure and pleasant surprises. Thanks to CGCC's beautiful location, she gets to go for a run with birds among the pine trees during her lunch break.
